This year Young’s Seafood is sponsoring Cleethorpes Community Carnival and the Stafforce Grimsby team has decided to support the event…making an appearance on a float in the theme of a well-known fairytale. Can you guess which characters we might be dressing up as?
We’ll be joining the local community, businesses and charities to entertain thousands of people lining up a four and a half mile route on Saturday 20th July and although it’s our first time, the parade was first staged in 1976. It’s something that locals look forward to every year and tourists always enjoy!
We can’t wait and we’re certainly going to be living and breathing one of our core values, to “have fun”… and in the spirit of the carnival, we’ll also be raising money for a good cause – PHASE Worldwide, a charity co-founded by our Chairman.
So our fabulous costumes have landed, we’ve all tried them on and now it’s just 1 more sleep to go until our big day! I’ll be starring in the line-up, as will Director of Stafforce Recruitment, Tony Boorman and team members from Sheffield and the two sites in Grimsby that recruit workers for the Young’s Seafood production.
If you fancy coming along to enjoy the carnival parade then it starts at 3.30pm on Saturday 20th July at Sidney Park and runs all the way to Meridian Park Arena.
We’ll be posting lots of pictures after the event but if you’re there on the day, see if you can spot us and work out who’s who!
