Bradford really does mean business at the moment!

Bradford is a growth zone, according to much of the publicity that I’m reading in local press. It’s always important to stay one step ahead of the game and your competition…and there are pots of funding available to help local businesses do just that.

There are now programmes there to help and support local business growth and job creation, grants for making use of disused space in the city, funding for relocation and support for businesses offering access to employment and skills. There is also finance and recruitment support available to help businesses build the skill base required for future success. Have a look at and you’ll find lots of useful information about what’s available and what’s happening.

It’s also great news that consultants at Nicholas Associates – Stafforce Recruitment’s sister brand – are now able to work with our Bradford-based clients to deliver funded initiatives. We’re able to tap into various pots of money that can support new start-ups…but also businesses looking to grow and diversify, or wanting to operate more effectively and increase productivity. Funded support is also available for developing high performance teams and up-skilling your workforce.

The Rising Stars programme offers free, dedicated business advice to entrepreneurs and high-growth businesses in the Bradford area and the Growth Accelerator Programme is 50% funded and it’s all about helping ambitious businesses to grow, develop and be more successful. Finally, we can help you via Bradford Council’s Professional Services scheme.

I love that we have something a little bit different to talk to our clients other than the standard recruitment agency topics of conversation and I’m especially looking forward to introducing Nicholas Associates’ consultant Nigel Trant to local businesses at our client networking event at the Aargrah Indian restaurant later this month.
