The future of online recruitment

As everyone knows, the world is moving quickly and so is technology! More and more people are going online to do things like ordering shopping instead of going to the local shops, and with just one click you can be on a plane to Spain without even stepping into a travel agent!

It’s becoming the same with modern day recruitment. With resources such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and job boards, candidates can easily job search from the comfort of their own homes rather than walking into a local job centre. In many ways it’s a great change and useful for job searchers who are applying for more than one job. As candidates are doing this more and more, we are one of only a few recruitment companies in being proactive and making key changes to encourage candidates to register and apply online.

By changing our registration system, candidates don’t have to walk into one of our branches just to register anymore because by going onto our website, you’ll be able to complete this process in just a few clicks and straight away you can upload your CV onto our site and job search by viewing all of the available jobs on our website.

We can do our job faster and more effectively as well. By using social media tools, we can find a lot of information we need about you to take you to the next stage of your job search. This is why your social media profiles are important; so important that in some cases it could actually cost you a job interview! One bad profile says a lot about an individual and can determine if the employer wants to get to know you more. Having access to these tools allows us to find out the type of person you are and what kind of worker you’ll be.

Whether it’s time to throw away paper forms and newspaper adverts is really a judgement call but as everything is evolving at a such a fast rate, online recruitment will keep improving and become, if it hasn’t already, more the norm…and it is up to you and us as recruiters to keep up with it!

Take a look at this infographic – http://bit.ly/18YsD4i  this demonstrates how the world of recruitment has changed and gives examples of the sources used by recruiters today.

Of course, at Stafforce Recruitment we still like the personal touch. Having face to face interviews with candidates gives us that little bit more to progress your job search. It also benefits you to meet the person who is helping you secure your next opportunity. Online methods just make it a lot quicker for you and us!
