The Stafforce Academy is something to be proud of!

The Stafforce Academy is something new for the business and all of its employees. It has been designed to enhance the skills of our people, which demonstrates a true commitment to learning and development within the business to a level that is quite unusual for a recruitment business our size and I think that we should be proud to have it!

The Academy is all about developing a learning environment, creating competitive advantage for our business and making us a great employer to work for…if anyone out there fancies that! It’s there to support the business in achieving its goals and ambitions by developing capabilities to lead, manage and develop the business and by developing the capabilities of our teams to guarantee that we provide the very best service to our clients. Alongside this is it will always support our people in achieving their career potential and aspirations.

“The Climb” is our new Leadership and Management Development programme and the first strand of the Stafforce Academy which is about to be launched at the start of September. It has been developed by our own internal learning and development consultants in Nicholas Associates, and will be delivered partly internally and partly by external specialists… and I’m really pleased that my application to be part of the first programme was successful, along with 13 other colleagues.

So what am I hoping for and expecting from “The Climb”?

I’m looking forward to working with and building relationships with a mixed group of people from across the business. My expectation is that it’s going to be a rewarding experience to go through that will make a difference to my future, as well as to the business. We’ll be tackling real issues through Action Learning Sets, so this difference will be felt immediately.

One year on I’m confident that I’ll have a much better understanding of the strategic direction of the business and how I can better contribute to driving change and growth, as well as having improved leadership and management skills. There will without doubt be a lot of work and commitment from everyone involved along the way but the rewards will be reaped by all!
